Center of Attention

Supplies needed:

PSP (I used PSP X) here
DSB Flux ~ free here
Animation Shop here
Andrews Filter: Tow the Line here(optional)
TextArt here(optional)
Tube or image. I used Johnnie Grez art which can be found here
You must purchase a license to use his wonderful work.

Open up your image. Duplicate and close original. Resize to a workable size. I used a tube and made the background.
You can also use an image instead. Just skip the background steps.

I resized mine with these settings three times:

Add a new raster layer and move to bottom.

Make a gradient from the colors in your image. I used #335476 for the foreground and #13274c for the background.

Then click on the foreground box and change to gradient/foreground background, angle 135, repeats none, invert NOT checked and linear setting.

Floodfill the background layer with your gradient.

Go to Effects/Andrews Filters 15/Tow the Line. Play with the settings till you get something you like.

Merge visible. Image/add border, I chose a dark color from my image and set at 5, symmetric.

Take your magic wand tool set to 0 tolerance and 0 feathering and click inside the border. Go to effects/3d effects/add drop shadow, -2, 2, 60 and 5 with black as the color. Select none.

Open new canvas 600 x 600 and floodfill with white. Copy your image and paste as a new layer on the canvas. Do not close out the image yet. =)

Effects/DSB flux/Center Mirror with 2 and 0 for the settings. Take the magic wand with the same settings and click on the outside of the shape.

Go up to Selections/invert, Selections/modify/contract by 8. Effects/distortion effects/pixelate with 15, 15, symmetric or play with the settings.

Selections/modify/contract by 8. Adjust/gaussian blur, 30. Select none. Add drop shadow, 5, 5, 60 and 10 with black for the color.

Go back to your image and copy and paste onto the canvas as a new layer.

Add same drop shadow.

Now is a good time to resize if your image is still too large.

Add your text. I used Text Art filter from here: http://www.plugincreativity.com/ and Gill Sans Ultra Bold for the font and the Special, Chrome 1 setting with a blue from my image.

If you don’t have this filter then you can use the chrome settings from Eyecandy 3.1 or 4000 also.

Add same drop shadow.

In the layer palette highlight the image layer and duplicate twice for a total of three copies of the image.

X out the bottom two and make sure the first one is highlighted in the layer palette.

Take your magic wand tool and change the tolerance to 15 and start clicking in some areas to make them glitter.

If you are using the same image that I am you may have to click in the dark spots a few times to get all the area selected.

Effects/DSB flux/bright noise, intensity 45, and mix checked.

X out this layer and un-X the second layer. Effects/DSB flux/bright noise and click on the mix text twice and hit ok.

X out this layer and un-X the third layer and do the same thing but hit the mix text three times.

Add your copyright information and watermark.

X out the last two copies of your image with glitter.

Make sure one of the other layers is highlighted in the layer palette and click on the top bar of the image and copy merged and go over to Animation Shop and paste as a new animation.

Go back to PSP and X out this top layer and un-X the second layer. Still make sure that one of the un-X’d layers is highlighted and copy merged and go over to Animation Shop and click on first frame and paste after current frame.

Repeat for the last frame and then preview the animation and make sure everything is the way you want it. Save as a GIF.

Thank you for doing this tutorial.
