DSB Flux

Open up a canvas 600x600, flood fill with white.

Add a new raster layer and choose a color from your tube and flood fill this layer with it.

Layer/Load/save mask/load mask from disk. Find your ~L~ Mask08 with these settings:

In the layer palette right-click and merge/merge group.

Layer/load/save mask/load mask from disk. Find the 20-20 mask with these settings:

In the layer palette right-click and merge/merge group.

Resize this layer twice with these settings:

Edit/repeat resize pic.

Effects/DSB flux/linear transmission and change the settings to 5, 20, 41 and vertical.

Lower the opacity of this layer to about 42 or so.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer.

Pick a font that is kind of fat, I am using Faktos font. Use the settings below:

Type out what you would like it to say then move it towards the bottom of the canvas and then move your tube into position the way you like. I moved mine so it looked like she was laying on top of it. I made sure to line it up with her shoe. Also, you can move your masked layer into position now if you don’t like where it is.

If you have to, pull the controls around your text to make it larger. Duplicate the vector text layer.

If you get confused easily with layers then rename this layer to stroke and the second one to fill. Click on the little plus sign next to the top vector text layer and you will see the Words you typed out there. Double click that text and you will get your text entry box to pop up. Make sure the text is highlighted in this box and then go up to your background color box and click the null button. Then click apply. Convert this layer to a raster layer.

Highlight the second vector text layer in the layer palette and click on the plus sign next to this and repeat the above steps but this time choose the FOREGROUND and click null. Click apply, then convert to a raster layer.

X out the stroke layer by clicking on the eye so its not visible.

Highlight the fill layer, selections/select all, selections/float, selections/defloat, effects/illumination effects/sunburst with these settings:

Notice the orange arrow pointing at the little cross? You may need to move yours into that position. If you like it somewhere else then that’s fine too. =) Selections/select none.

Effects/texture effects/blinds with these settings:

Add a drop shadow to this text of 1, 1, 70, 4 with black for the color.

Now UN-X the top stroke layer and duplicate twice for a total of three. Effects/DSB flux/bright noise and change the settings to 67 and mix. Highlight the second copy and repeat but click mix text twice. Repeat for the third copy stroke layer but this time hitting mix three times.

Foreground to null and background white or another color to your choosing, select another font. I used Edwardian Script and typed out my name and then pulled it out to fit nicely. You can refer to my tag for reference. You may have a hard time seeing the text until you add your drop shadow. If you have to you can add a new raster layer and move it so that it is just above your white background layer and flood fill with a color so that you can see your text. Once you are done with the text, don’t forget to delete this layer. You can use the same drop shadow as above.

Now you just need to animate.

X out two of the stroke layers and then edit/copy merged and then open Animation Shop and paste as a new animation. Go back and X out this layer and UN-X the second fill layer and repeat the same steps. Repeat for the third stroke layer and then save as a GIF.

Thank you for doing this tutorial.
