Supplies Needed:
PSP - I used PSP X Animation Shop Tube of choice - I used the beautiful art of Jessica Dougherty and you can
buy a license to use her artwork according to her TOU HERE
Font used - Sheer Beauty HERE
My Supplies - animated bars, sparkle tree(made by me), and dear santa words (made by me or you can make your own) HERE
Open a new canvas 900 x 900. Floodfill with white. I know this is large but we will resize later.
Open up the pre-made words or make your own and add your decorative touch to them. Add a drop shadow of : 3, 3, 35 and 5 blur with the color black. Place them on the canvas towards the bottom but leave enough room for your animated bars.
Now, edit, copy merged and paste into Animation Shop as a new animation. Duplicate this frame for a total of 18 frames. The animated bars also have 18 frames already.
Open up the two animated bars in animation shop.
Now on your main frame with your “dear santa” words Control and click A at the same time so that it highlights all 18 frames in blue like below:
Now before we do this next step lets make sure you have propagate paste button clicked. Go up to edit/propagate paste and if its not indented like in this pic then click it.
Go up to edit/paste/into selected frame. Now, your animated bar should be following your cursor. You will have to place this first one where you want it and then eyeball the second one. Once you find where you want it click and it should paste each of the 18 frames of animated bar INTO EACH frame of your “dear santa” words.
If you want to test it out just hit the animated button and you can see how it works.
Ok, now for the second one! You know the steps so do the same steps for the second animated bar. You will have to eyeball this one to get it to look even with the first. What I did was kind of hover it above the first and then I slowly moved it up to the right location and clicked.
If everything is the way you like it you can click on the first frame so that it is the only one highlighted in blue. Right-click/copy and then paste into PSP as a new image.
Here in PSP we will add the rest of our details and then move them to Animation Shop and drag them over to our main frame with the same steps as above.
Open up your tube of choice and the xmas tree and add them to the main image as a new layers. We don’t want to merge anything to the main image because we need to keep everything separate from it so we can add it in Animation shop.
Add your drop shadow to your tube layers. You can use the same one as the “dear santa” words: 3, 3, 35 and 5 and black.
Add the copyright info and your name.
If you want to use this as a template to add names later then make sure to save this as a PSPIMAGE file now. If you like the font you choose for your name then make sure to change the layer name in the layer palette to the name of the font. Nothing worse than not finding a font! Well, maybe…lol
Now X out the very bottom layer in the layer palette. It should be the image you pasted from Animation Shop. Merge visible the rest of the layers.
Copy, then paste in Animation Shop as a new animation. Use the same steps we used for the animation bars above to add the new layer with your text and tube to the main animated frames. Use the text locations to help place your image in the right location on the main image.
Now you can finally crop out the excess white space.
You are done !!!
