Electric Halloween

Supplies needed:

PSP (I used PSP X)
Animation Shop
Eyecandy 4000
Alien Skin Electrify
Tube or image. I used the art of Elias Chatzoudis which can be found here
You must purchase a license to use his work.
Scrap Kit- I used a couple pieces from my "Hallows' Eve" element pack which you can purchase at Plain Digital Wrapper

Open up a canvas at 600x600 pixles. Flood fill with white.

Open up your tube, copy and paste onto canvas as a new layer and close original.

Resize the tube about 80%.

Add a drop shadow. I used 2, 4, 50 and 8 with black for the color.

Add a journal piece to your tag as a new layer for a name. Add a drop shadow. I used 1, 3, 50 and 5 with black for the color.

Add some leaves or another fall element to your background and add same drop shadow as above. In this tag I also duplicated the leaves and then resized 80% and moved them slightly then lowered the opacity to 26.

Find a font that you like. I used palimpus, fill black, stroke null. Type out “Happy Halloween” and move it into position.

Duplicate this 5 times for a total of 6 layers of the font. If it’s easier for you, then rename the layers to “font 1”, “font 2”, “font 3” and so on. I will refer to them this way to make it easier.

On “font 1” layer go to effects/alienskin/electrify with these settings:

On the “font 2” layer add the same filter hitting the “random” button once.

Repeat for “font 3” layer.

On “font 4” layer go to effects/eyecandy 4000/corona with these settings:

Repeat the filter on “font 5” and “font 6” hitting the random button once each time.

Resize your tag to approximately 500x500.

Add your copyright information to the tag and add your name.

Make sure all the layers are showing. X out all the “font” layers except “font 1” and “font 4” go up to edit/copy merged.

Open Animation Shop and paste as a new animation.

In PSP X out “font 1” and “font 4” and UN-X “font 2” and “font 5” and go up to edit/copy merged and then in Animation Shop click on the first frame and right click “paste after current frame”.

Go back to PSP and X out “font 2” and “font 5” and then UN-X “font 3” and “font 6” and repeat the above steps.

Click animate and make sure everything is how you want it. Save as a GIF file. Thank you for doing this tutorial.
