Open up your canvas at 500x500 and flood fill with white.

Open up your label with stitches. You can use the smaller version or if you are using different sizes then you can open up the larger one and resize to your needs.

Add a drop shadow. I used 1, 1, 40, 6 and black.

If you get easily confused with a lot of layers then please name the layers as we go.

Open up the small button elements or use the larger size and resize to your liking. Duplicate it twice for a total of three of them.

Once you duplicate choose your move tool and just click on the top button element ONCE and then press and hold the shift button and then use the arrow buttons to move the button in a horizontal line. It will stay lined up with the first one and you can just eyeball the space in between them. When you move the one into position, to be able to use the shift and arrow button you will have to click once on the second button before it will work. You always have to click the item once with the mover tool to activate it.

Add the same drop shadow to each button like above, but make sure to check the box that says “shadow on new layer”. Open up the tube you want to use. If you are using the same tube then you will be able to follow the next set of instructions, but if you are using something different then you will have to use the directions as a guide and apply them to your tag.

If you refer to my example tag you can see how I placed my tube towards the top. Now the two end buttons you will want to duplicate and move them to be on top of the tube layer. We are going to erase the parts we need to make the buttons look like they are covering parts of her up. We need one set of the end buttons to be on top of the tube layer and one set to be UNDER the tube layer, like a sandwich.

In the layer palette make sure to highlight the TOP layer of buttons and then take your eraser tool with these settings:

The button that is covering her breast you can lower the opacity to about 53 temporarily so that we can see better. Erase the parts of the button that cover her hand like in this picture:

Bring the opacity back up to 100 and you should have something like this:

The second button that we need to work on that is by her legs will be a little more tricky. Make sure you highlight the TOP button that is on her legs.

Select your lasso tool with these settings:

We will need to lower the opacity of this button layer again so that we can see the outline of her leg. I lowered it to 22.

Zoom in and then start click around her leg like in this picture:

We don’t want to erase the button that is covering the back leg, only the front.

After you select the area, hit delete once on the button layer and then bring the opacity back up to 100. You should have this now:

Now on the button layers that are UNDER the tube layer, NOT the TOP layer, you can add a drop shadow the same as above.

You can also add a drop shadow to your tube layer. I used 4, 4, 40 and 7 with black for the color.

Pick a font that you like and change the stroke to white with the stroke width to 1 or 2 and the fill to a color from the tube. I used #eb5ba1. Type out your words as a vector, then stretch them to fit the label the way you like.

Add a drop shadow. I used 1, 1, 40 and 6 with black for the color. Move this layer to be below the tube layer so it lays BEHIND her leg.

Open up the pink diamond image and paste as a new layer. Resize as necessary and move it so that it is over the letter I in “single” and add a drop shadow of 1,1, 30 and 2 with black for the color.

If you want to animate the letters you can do the next step. If you just want the text to be plain then skip it.

Duplicate this text layer twice for a total of three layers. Select your magic wand tool with these settings:

Click on the inside color of the letters one at a time till all the letters are selected. Effects/DSB Flux/bright noise- intensity 32 and mix checked.

Click on the second layer of text and repeat the DSB Flux filter, this time clicking on the text “mix” twice. Repeat for the third layer of text.

Open up the paper strip layers and paste as new layers and place them the way you like. Add the same drop shadow.

Open up the staple tube and resize if necessary and paste as a new layer. Duplicate it so that you have two for each paper strip and place them where you like. I used the image/free rotate to move the staples into different positions.

After you get the staples where you want them and you aren’t going to move them anymore you can merge the staples into one layer. Add a new raster layer and drag it to be BELOW the staple layer.

Select your brush tool and use the round default brush and change the size to be just a little bit bigger than the end of the staple. Change the foreground to a dark grey color. I used #404040. Now click once on each end of the staples like in this picture:

Lower the opacity till you think it looks good. I lowered mine to 28.

Open up the metal wordart “unavailable” and resize if necessary and paste as a new layer and position it so that it is on the top strip of paper. Add a drop shadow, same as above.

Select another font or the same one as your label text if you want and stroke to white and width to 1 or 2 and the background the same pink as above or a color from your tube. Type out your name and if needed stretch to fit the second strip of paper. Add the same drop shadow if desired.

Add your copyright information. If you are using Gennadi Koufay then you do not add a URL at this time. He doesn’t have a website so just add his name with the copyright symbol and your CILM number making sure to type it EXACTLY how it was issued. Some of them have a – in it, make sure to use it if you do. I used Pixelette font, size 8 and anti-alias OFF.
