Supplies Needed: PSP X Tube of choice - I am using the awesome art of Elias Chatzoudis. You can purchase a license to use his artwork HERE My Supplies - ribbon, bow, frames and staples. These pieces were made JUST for this tutorial. HERE Torn Paper - These are from Scrappy Expressions and are included in the download. Thank you so much Melissa. Eyecandy4000-gradient glow and bevel boss (optional) Open up a canvas 600x600 and floodfill with white. I have included a frame set that is already connected in case you don’t know how to do it. I explain a little bit of this technique for the pictures. If you want to read through the tutorial first you can see if you would like to try connecting the frames yourself. =) Open up the frame set and paste as a new layer. Open up your tube, duplicate and close the original. Pick colors from your tube for the foreground and background and then choose gradient, foreground/background, 0 angle and 0 repeats. Add a new layer to your tube and move to bottom and flood fill with your gradient. Go to image/picture frame and choose Edge fun 02. If you don’t have this one then choose something you like. Click the frame canvas and frame OUTSIDE the image and hit ok. Edit/copy merged and then paste this tube onto your canvas with the frames. Move this layer below the frames layer and move it into position. Go back to your tube that you added the picture frame too and delete the frame layer. Select your rectangle selection tool and select an area that would make a good second image. Edit/copy merged, then click and empty area on your workspace and paste as a new image. Image/add borders with these settings or play with them and get something you like. ![]() Copy and paste this picture as a new layer onto your canvas and move into position. I put these smaller pictures in the middle of the smaller circle frames. Go back to your original tube layer and deselect and then select another area and repeat the same steps adding the borders and then pasting as a new layer to your canvas. Once you place these pictures onto your canvas you can delete the other tube layers with the borders. In the layer palette highlight one of the smaller pictures and image/free rotate, right and check the box for free and change the number to 25 and make sure the box for “rotate single layer around canvas center” IS checked. All layers is NOT checked. Repeat this step for the second picture, this time changing the direction to left. Get these pictures into position where you like them before this next step. Now to give it some interest you can have the picture fall below parts of the frame. To do this you need to duplicate the picture and move it to be BELOW your frames layer. Then go back to the top layer picture and erase the parts that you want to be below your frames. Basically you want a little sandwich. You want the image you’re going to erase to be on top, the image you want it to look like it is below in the middle, and then a duplicate of the top image on bottom. Then you would work on the TOP image and erase the parts you want to look like are below the middle image. Look below at my example: ![]() ![]() Add a drop shadow to the BOTTOM copies of the pictures you erased on. If you add it to the top picture then you will see the shadow outline where you erased. I used 1, 1, 35, blur 5 and black for the color. Do this for all three pictures. Merge/merge visible. Open up the bows and place them where you like and add the same drop shadow. Open up the paper image and the staples. Place these where you like or use my tag for reference. They already have shadows, so no need to add them to these. Find a font that looks like handwriting. Foreground null and background a color from your tube. Start out with your font size at about 30. You will have to play with the size to get it to fit nicely on the paper. Type out what you would like on your paper. You can refer to my tag if you want to use the same saying. Now convert to raster layer, selections/select all, selections/float, selections/defloat. X out this layer and add a new raster layer. Select your crayon tool and color over the running ants till you get it colored in the way you like and you can read. Deselect. Open the dymo label, recolor if needed. Paste as a new layer onto your canvas. I used Arial for the font, size 30 and foreground null and background white. Create as a vector and then pull it to make it a little larger. Effects/eyecandy 4000/bevel boss with these settings: ![]() ![]() Duplicate this layer and then highlight the bottom copy. Effects/eyecandy 4000/gradient glow with these settings: ![]() ![]() Add the same drop shadow and your copyright information and save as a PNG or JPG file. Thank you for doing this tut !! |
