Supplies Needed: PSP X Animation Shop Font of choice. Tube of choice - I am using the wonderful art by Keith Garvey. You can purchase a license to use his artwork HERE My Supplies - word art and palm trees HERE Open a canvas 500x500 and flood fill with white. Select your preset shape/rectangle tool. Change your foreground to #cf5a91 and your background to #feb8e2. Click on the background box and then select the gradient with these settings:
Change the foreground to null and then drag out your rectangle box. You can refer to my tag to get an idea on the size. You want to leave some room for your bars above and below but make sure to pull the rectangle to each side so no white shows. Objects/align/center in canvas. Conver to raster layer. Open your tk_palmtrees.pspimage and copy and paste as a new layer. Move it up to the top a little. We will re-position in a minute. Change the background to color and you should still have your lighter pink, which is, #feb8e2. Drag out another rectangle for your bar across the top like in my tag. Make it the width of your canvas and a little taller than your palm trees. Move the rectangle into position. You can overlap it a bit on top of your big rectangle with the gradient. Convert to raster layer. Effects/texture effects/blinds with these settings:
Move the palm trees into place and add a drop shadow of: 1, 1 35 and 2 with black for the color. Merge these two layers together. In the layer palette just make sure the top palm tree layer is selected and that the rectangle layer is below this. Right-click and merge down. Duplicate this layer and then with your move tool selected click this shape on the canvas ONCE making sure not to move it. Press and hold your SHIFT button and use your down arrow and click till you get your duplicated rectangle into position below the gradient rectangle. Resize your tag with these settings:
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer onto your canvas. Resize as necessary with same settings. Add drop shadow of: 0, 14, 35 and 12 with black for the color. Now you need to position your tube and your palm tree bars. You want the bottom palm tree bar to be OVER your tube layer. So in the layer palette click on the bottom palm bar and then go up to layers/arrange/bring to top. Her legs should be BEHIND the bottom bar now. The top palm bar you want behind her head so if its not already then drag this layer in the layer palette to be below the tube layer. This is what my layer palette looks like:
Open up your “south beach glam” image and paste as a new layer. Resize as necessary with the same settings as before. Once you get your “south beach glam” image into position, copy and then open Animation Shop and paste as a new animation. Go up to effects/ insert image effect with these settings:
In the second pic, the glob with the little lines and globs coming from it? You need to click and drag in that box and move those little globs around. You can make yours look similar to mine if you want or try something different. If you want to remove one just drag it out of the box and it will disappear. Hit ok and then delete your first frame. Back in PSP you need to add your copyright information and your name. Add a drop shadow to your name. X out the “south beach glam” word art and then go up to edit/copy merged and in Animation Shop paste as a new animation. Duplicate your frames till you have same number of frames like your animated wordart. Make sure to click the propagate paste button at the top of your animation toolbar. This is an important step. Control A on the frames for your tag so they are all highlighted. Control A on your animated word art frames to highlight all of those. Go up to edit/copy, then click on your tag frames and edit/paste into selected frames. The word art should be “attached” to your cursor and you can now place the word art where you want it in the FIRST frame. Make sure not to click till you get it where you want. If you make a mistake just click edit/undo. Crop out any excess area around your tag and save as a GIF. Thank you for doing this tutorial. |
